"Fields Of Honor" Farm Appreciation Day - 17 Oct 2026
The Lost Vets Rescue will host its inaugural “Fields of Honor” community farm event on Saturday, October 17, 2026, in Athens, Tennessee.
The event is free and open to the public, with 200 to 300 attendees expected. It will serve as both a celebration of the organization’s 10 years of service and a community vision-casting for the healing farm sanctuary.

The day’s program will include:
- Hay rides across the farm grounds
- BBQ and traditional Tennessee food
- Live music
- A keynote address by a veteran speaker who has been directly served by The Lost Vets Rescue
- A silent auction benefiting outreach operations and farm construction
- Opportunities to meet the organization’s outreach team, board members, and farm volunteers
At the heart of the campaign is a tangible, specific vision: a working farm sanctuary in Tennessee where veterans can exhale for the first time in years.
The Lost Vets Rescue’s farm project would give veterans a quiet place to be with animals, take slow hay rides across open fields, cast a fishing line into a still pond, and sit in the kind of natural silence that does what no prescription can fully replicate.
It is designed not as an institution, but as a sanctuary — a place that asks nothing of a veteran except that they show up and let the land do its work.
